How on earth did you come up with the inspiration for such a cool story? Where did you find the ideas for all those names of the witches and monsters?

Joseph Delaney Sometimes I will hear an interesting name, perhaps at a school event, that I think might work for one of my characters or they can pop into my head while I am writing. But more often the names come to me after the character has developed. For example I thought about Grimalkin's name for a long time. Malkin comes from the name of Malkin Tower (and the witch clan I invented); ‘Grim’ suggests something of what you face when she is your enemy!
