Well, if I wrote something from my life, it wouldn't be a mystery. I've lived a life of almost sickening virtue. And now I'm a librarian in a small affluent library in upstate New York. I guess I would have to imagine someone stealing one of our local history materials.

I'm confused as to the order of your books. I read A Simple Murder. Death of a Dryer is next, set in 1796, with Will, David, & Lydia, as the housekeeper, back at his farm. Cradle to Grave is #3, set in 1797. A Death in Salem is shown as the 4th book yet it is set in 1796, and has Will with a pregnant wife. Then The Devil's Cold Dish is also set in 1796. I prefer to read in order. Help, what is the order?
