Goodreads asked Lara Lillibridge:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lara Lillibridge Dinty Moore (I think) once said that if you aren't sitting there waiting for words, you will miss the days when the words come easily, so make time to write every day. For me, if I'm not writing, I'm reading, which eventually sparks something that inspires me to write. I read books, blogs, any work that someone I know wants feedback on. If I have an idea brewing, I've learned that it is best not to talk about it until I get a first draft down, or I lose my enthusiasm. It's like releasing the words to the air makes them float away.
