Given that the Zephyr Zuckerman series turned out to be a mystery series -- that was a surprise for me, not what I'd set out to do -- it's a little embarrassing to admit that I have ZERO mysteries in my life. I'm an open book, so to speak. I think that's why I write mysteries -- I look at my even-keeled, well-adjusted life and automatically imagine the dark paths it COULD have followed. Never thought about that until this very moment, but perhaps my novels are one big way of expressing my gratitude for my (non-mysterious) life.
