Are Joshilyn Jackson's books best read in the order they were written or are they all independent of each other so it doesn't matter?

In fact, I read the …moreI've read most of her books and to the best of my knowledge, only two are related. Even those two don't need to be read in order. In fact, I read the first one and when I read the second, it took me some time to realize that one of the characters had been in the previous book. I like that I didn't know. I will put the titles in spoiler. <spoiler>Someone Else's Love Story (first) and The Opposite of Everyone (next)</spoiler>
The two I haven't read yet are Backseat Saints and The Girl Who Stopped Swimming.
