How did Nassun know about the word "magic"? Wasn't it introduced by Alabaster during a private talk with Essun?

Simone As far as I recall Nassun calls it "silver"; I think anytime Nassun and "magic" are used the "magic" is not something being said by her? I also devoured this book in like 12 days because I loved it so much and didn't think about it when I read it so I could be misremembering!!!
Felipe Macia this bothered me as well when i read it. although technically Hoa is the narrator speaking from each character's pov, he did not make that mistake with the others. to me it was more of an editing error...
Dionna Because Nassun is what Alabaster and Essun could have been without Fulcrum training.

Upasana She doesn't. She uses the word "silver' whenever we are exposed to her interiority. Till Gray Man/Steel uses the word magic (which surprise her as she didn't know what it was called before) when they are in the 'station' looking for transportation. Surprised no one has mentioned this
Shante How did Nassun know about like 80% of what she said and did? It bugged me as well, but I don't think it is an editing error.
Lisa I had the same thought and figured it was just sloppy editing. It's a thought from Nassun's POV on page 301 of the paperback edition.
