What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Michael Finocchiaro Probably the mystery of my origins - the flight of my great-grandfather from Sicily to the US circa 1897 on my father's side and the shameful slave-owning heritage on my mother's side. She recently showed me some research that was done by a distant cousin of hers: my grandfather's family had at least 3 deaths in the Civil War - on the Rebel side :( It could make for a good story with some more research though!
