I addressed one of the craziest mysteries of my life in Opening Moves, which had to do with a killer targeting my father. I also think of a time when a young man that was on a canoe trip I was leading became lost in the boundary waters wilderness canoe area. He was eventually found, but his survival story and how he got lost would make for a great read.

Hi Steven, I just started reading 'Every Crooked Path' in Dutch and I was wondering... how old is Pat supposed to be in this book? Because I think something went wrong with the Dutch translation. It says he's almost forty, but it takes place before The Pawn... and he's 35 in The Pawn? So that would make Pat 32 in Every Crooked Path, right?
