Barry Cunningham
Barry Cunningham asked Ian Rankin:

I recently finished a book and self published, a very interesting and amazing experience. Friends, who are amazed that I've done it, ask what's it like, where do you get the inspiration? Strangely enough the best thing I can say to them is "Writing is just the same as reading, its as if I just read it" Is it the same for you? If not What? Cheers - Barry Cunningham

Jim
Jim asked Ian Rankin:

More a request than a question. Please don't put Rebus out to pasture. Give him some geritol, whatever, keep him going. OK, I need a question mark? Does Rebus have lots of adventures left?

Phil
Phil asked Ian Rankin:

Hi Ian, having just finished Even Dogs In The Wild, which I loved, I have to say I hope you never stop writing. Do you envisage a time when Siobhan and her team are the sole focus of your novels? Either way, keep up the excellent work!
