Goodreads asked Diane Merrill Wigginton:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Diane Merrill Wigginton One time I had $800 in my purse in an envelope and I took it out and hid it in my closet. Then when I went to find it and pay the worker for the job he had done, setting up my play structure, it was gone. Tore the entire closet apart but never found the money. My husband helped me. Then there was another time I threw my keys and car toggle at my purse sitting on the floor because I was in a hurry, then later went back to put the keys away properly and they were gone. Nowhere to be found. To this day I never found them. It is still a mystery to me this day what happened to the money and keys.
