Oh, gosh. You may be giving my life too much credit. It's a fairly dull place compared to a mystery novel. I think I would have to get psychological and go with the mysteries of human nature. Why I waited 20 years from the time I knew I wanted to be a writer to the time I really reached for that goal. Why I wasted so many years on addictions. And I guess it's not a coincidence that I mostly write about characters overcoming their own fears. That might not have been exactly the answer you were picturing, but it's an honest one.

This is not a question Catherine -- it's a statement. I have never had an author that I follow...until now! Every single one of your books (and I have read most) are amazing! I can't quite put my finger on the 'why', and I guess it doesn't matter. Maybe this is just to say thank you?
