Do you map out the whole plot in advance or do you just start out and see where the story takes you?

Glynnis Campbell I usually map out a very strong premise and know that there's going to be a happy ending. I fill in the events that will take me from Point A to Point Z. But oftentimes my characters pull me in different directions, and the plot goes to different places than I intended. So I'm more a plotter than a pantster, but I allow for flexibility.
