Lisa
Lisa asked Joy Ellis:

I have just read book two, having never read any of your books before (shameful I know). It read well as a standalone novel, but now I intend to read all the others. Do you write your books with a thought that they could also be read as standalones as well as a series?

Joy Ellis Hi Lisa I try to write each book so that it can be read individually, but when you write a series there is always natural progression in the lives of your characters. Each book has a unique storyline, but the characters do evolve. Lots of readers tell me that they started with one novel, then went to the beginning and read them in order, simply because they were interested in the characters lives. Hope that helps. all the very best, Joy
