What advice can you give to an aspiring writer? Was there a piece of advice that helped you most?

Glynnis Campbell The advice that I take most to heart is to have passion and persistence. If you don't truly love what you're writing, that will be visible to your readers. And if you give up after one try, without constantly improving your craft, you won't move forward. The two pieces of advice I give most are 1) don't write unless you MUST, because it's a lot more work than you think it is, and 2) if you have something to say in a book, do it, even if nobody else ever reads it.
