In book 2 verity faversham had a damsel, what is the summoning level of that particular demon ( i assume about 2)? Also will the creators of the orc pyramid be discovered in book 3?

I was wondering why the gap is somewhat short going from the Salamander to Drake, but going from Drake to Dragon it's astronomically high. After all the Drake has more dragon characteristics and should be able to should Dragon sooner(only needing to enlarge it's portions and create harder skin), rather than only around 10 levels when it needs to make horns and wings?
