Thistle I found most of it sad only in a distant way. Yes, they were dying, but until then they were LIVING, and that was the important message. Until I reached the end, then I cried my eyes out.
Will Rose Definitely a 19, probably? DO NOT under ANY circumstance read this book in public.

emily atkins 2- so overhyped and not that sad in my opinion
Grey Honestly not that depressing compared to his other books, if you except the fact that they are going to die. But the end really punches you in the gut for me I would give it a 5 or 6.
Rad Oneza actually its not sad. I found it inspiring :)

Eli I rate it a 10. Honestly I couldn't put the book down and read it all in one night. Mateo is this Antisocial boy who hasn't cracked out of his shell because of fear, and his dad. And Rufus is grieving over his parents and sisters deaths. I am here in my dark room grieving over the fact that my dad is dead and my mom is dying, I'm at school beating people up because of my issues. I could relate to this book in such sad ways.. and I wish we could know if they meet again in Rufus's last afterlife. The book was so Beautifully written that I had started crying before the sadness started. And too me what's sad is that they both could have met sooner and had more time, but because they met each other on their end day... They lived. They loved. And they learned to accept their mistakes and just live through this day like it wasn't their last. They were living. Too me, they will continue living. BUT WE NEED A PART 2 PLEASE PLEASE MAKE IT SO THAT THEY MEET IN THE AFTERLIFE AND JUST STAY TOGETHER FOREVER 😭😭😭

Danielle I found that this one wasn't as depressing a read until you got closer to the end. I struggled through History is All You Left Me because of how much my heart hurt every time I picked it up (I loved it, it was just so hard to read for long stretches). This one was sad throughout, but it wasn't painful the whole time.
Lal tbh, I was expecting myself to cry my eyes out but towards the end of the book i found myself being kinda bored... had much more higher expectations...
Drew (Taylor's version)✨ It's not depressing, it's magic and romantic.
Trickster Ozaki This book is a 10 on the depressing scale... Especially if you spot the foreshadowing and trail back to the beginning as it all connects to the events at the end of the book.. I was crying for days! the song choices were fire. It will really get you into it if you chose to listen to the chosen songs as the story goes on. Loved and hated every second of it.
JQ Smith Unpopular opinion but it was sad at most, it was depressing but not to the point I would bawl my eyes out. However, there is a reason as to why I love it and it caused me to go into a book hangover.

Ralu For me it was a 3/10, mostly because I'm not an emotional person. But I've read so many books that are not considered sad and they were a little more depressing that this one, its just that I didn't have the time to understand the characters' feelings.
Amy 8/10
It was sad but I knew what was coming
Nina 1 - it was kinda lame

Geri Gimeno I can say that this book is about a 7.5. There are times that it made me tear up a little. I recommend Adam's other book calle History is All You Left Me for an actual tear jerker!
Rowan C honestly speaking, i didnt find it toooo depressing, of course it was sad, because, like, they die but the message of living your best life and the fact that they managed to find happiness together was really important, and i think it is a book that will make you think
Paul I cried more than I have in at least 2 years if that says something.

Rebecca Fritz It is so depressing, but it is so good. I don't regret reading it
Stefan Stojanovski By the middle a solid 7/8 at the end a 2.
isabella Started this book yesterday, I am on page 122 as of right now and I cried for 30 minutes. I usually read on the train on the way to school but let's just say I will NOT be reading this book in public.
Joseph Depressing because it was sad? Like a 2.

Depressing because this book started with a great premise and murdered it right before your very eyes? An 11.
Henry28 8.5 at the exact moment I was reading it. But after an hour... maybe 7?
RachiA. The depressing part really depends upon the part you are in the book. entire book I rate the depressing part an 8

Mitch Taniegra 9. I bawled out while reading this book. And to make it worst the posts and accounts mentioned in the book were too real, making it more heartbreaking. (the dates and comments were real too) Go check @rufusonpluto on IG. The remaining 1 pt was left out because they finally found what they were looking for and I was (and still) still for them.
Rupert Tamayo History is All You Left Me was much more depressing than this novel. :) It was light with a dark side of it. :)
