Hi Glynnis - Where do you get your inspiration for the settings and eras for your books?

I was inspired by the place I grew up in northern California, which was a parkland surrounded by rolling hills, not unlike England. I was raised on fairy tales set in medieval times, so that's the era I'm most drawn to. But it's fun sometimes to explore other settings!
