What kind of higher education did you pursue and was it with the end result of becoming an author in mind? Ever since discovering Gothic romance via Victoria Holt/Philippa Carr I have been hooked on historical romances and I always wondered how an author gets started in this endeavor.

Glynnis Campbell I came to professional writing rather late. Even though my teachers strongly suggested I major in English in college, I pursued a degree in Music and followed that career path for a long time. I wasn't actually published until I was in my forties, but I credit good English teachers in high school for my success in that endeavor.
