Debra asked Glynnis Campbell:

What is the average amount of time you spend on research for each book?

Glynnis Campbell It's kind of cumulative. When I started writing, I had to do TONS of research. But every time I set a book in the same time period and/or place, the research is pretty much already done. When I started writing my California-set Native American series, I had lived in the area, so that was a lifetime of research, but I didn't know much about the history. I spent about five weeks in intensive study--visiting museums, talking to experts, hiking through the foothills, visiting reservations, etc. So it varies!
