Goodreads asked Jenna Barwin:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jenna Barwin I step away for a day or two. Usually, after a good night's sleep, I'll wake up with new inspiration. And even if I don't, I go back and work on a different part of the story.

And sometimes, I'm resistant to feeling what the characters are feeling. You've heard of method acting? I'm a method writer--if I'm not feeling the point of view character's feelings, then it comes out wooden. I have to be willing to immerse myself in the character to get it right.
