Hi kasie, i read your book By your side and i have few questions. 1. Why Dax Miller's side is not explained more? Like why is he commitment phobic? 2. What happens after he meets his mother? 3. Why he never had friends?

Kasie West Dax has commitment issues because his mother chose drugs over him. She gave up custody of him because she had an addiction. And that gave him some major trust issues. He figured if his own mother couldn't commit to him then who could. So he never lets anyone in. Not friends, not girlfriends. He keeps to himself. And after he meets his mother, he is not ready to let her back in his life yet. At least not at the end of this book. He's just barely healing and learning to trust again. He was a very closed character, even the reader didn't get to see in his head very often. :)
