Can anyone tell me how clean this book is? I'm at page 50-- I've run into some profanity (which is fine as long as it remains sparse), and since the author has made a vow to remain celibate, I'm sure the topic of sex will come up, but is anything graphic mentioned? I'd like to know before I get too attached :) I'm really enjoying this book.

Evelyn In the third section (Indonesia), sex and one of its medical repercussions (not an STD or pregnancy) are part of the plot, but it's never described in graphic detail or intended to titillate. Think PG-13 movie or primetime network TV romance.

May I politely inquire as to why more in-depth sexual content would bother you? It's none of my business, of course, and if you choose to answer, whatever your reason(s) might be I will pass no judgement. I'm merely curious because it's never something I take into consideration when reading mainstream fiction or nonfiction (I don't bother with romance novels and I rarely read erotica), unless the book is mostly about sex abuse of some kind (e.g., the Lovely Bones, Bastard out of Carolina, Push, etc.). I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
