The description of this book got me curious. What age is the protagonist? I'm 20 and when I jump into YA books I'm mostly scared that I'll get annoyed by the pubertal behavior of the characters, like the know-it-all types, or something. I like books such as Miss Peregrines, Hunger Games, etc. I don't like books such as The Mortal Instruments. Will I like this book? (Sorry for bad English, I'm dutch).

Desirae I think you'll like it. Yes, its YA but Laini Taylor's writing is very mature. I think any age group will fall in love with her stories.
