This book (The Shop) goes deeply into miscarriage and cancer, (which are difficult more than offensive) not to mention cheating husbands, but the books are written in a non-offensive way. DM uses these subjects to really capture emotions.
God shows up in some, but so far I haven't noticed any preaching.(less)
