I totally agree, I am very disappointed Meg, Simon and all the Others have plenty of more stories to unfold. This book was good but not for a final ending too many stories left to tell. Lakeside has so many opportunities to branch off of while including the original cast. I am really not interested of investing more time on a new cast and story line. I am not happy so I will pout. NO NO NO this can't be the end of Lakeside Others, Meg, Simon, Sam and Skippy. Winter would make the next ice age if she new Meg was abandoned and the ponies would run wild in the streets. I will have to reread my Mercy Thompson series to again just to get out of this funk. LOL....

I agree. I ended my review with:
"Perhaps the best thing to do is start a petition. What would Winter say about abandoning Meg? And with the favorite "Broomstick Girl" and new "Scoldy Squirrel" stories, I imagine the Elders wouldn't be pleased. The ponies would riot.
Yes, a petition. Meg isn't done. Isn't close to being done. Lakeside still has plenty of stories to tell. Maybe Erebus can convince Anne. Or maybe if we make her eat just the leaves and fungus—no bacon grease for her—she'll decide to do the right thing. The only thing."
