Not really a question, but I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the middle eastern setting and influences in 'Rebel of the Sand', you don't often (if never!) see this in modern YA literature. How did you come up with idea? :)

The original idea for REBEL OF THE SANDS was to write a story about a sharpshooting girl but I didn't want to write a pure western. So the idea sort of struck me to combine it with the mythology of The 1001 Nights. I was working in Islamic art at the time, and so I think that's, subconsciously, where it came from.

I love your writing style so much! When can we get a description of the third book? I love Amani and her world.
