Can anyone tell me if books in this series can be read as stand-alone books? We have a few donations for our public library, like Taken (#15) but I don't have the rest... Thanks!
Faith I've been reading the Joe Pike series by Robert Crais and I can say that while all of the books play off each other and would make more sense reading …moreI've been reading the Joe Pike series by Robert Crais and I can say that while all of the books play off each other and would make more sense reading the series as a whole if you needed to, you could read Taken individually. Throughout the book, events would, in certain situations and conflicts, make more sense if you were to read the series from the beginning. While I haven't read the Elvis Cole series before reading the Joe Pike series; those two series are completely individual and kind of independent of each other, even though both characters are together.(less)
