Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

N.M. Sotzek To be honest, my husband came up with the idea for the technology when he was just a boy. Then I came along in university and he shared it with me by writing about seventeen pages about a team of four people in a futuristic sport. Just from those pages, I was hooked. From there, my mind flew to the possibilities of where the technology would take society and our Western culture. My husband let my imagination go, above and beyond anything he ever imagined. So really, this is an idea created by two people. He came up with the technology, I came up with the consequences on society. And the romance. If he had it his way, it would have been all about the animals and the sport.
