Sorry for the long delay in answering, I've only just come across the question! The atmosphere / mood in Eternity is Twenty Seconds Long is intended to be one of slowly growing horror, as the fate of the main character is revealed. This is in contrast to the setting, which is all about sunlight, relaxation and holiday mood.
