AMY asked Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch:

I recently read your book Making Bombs for Hitler and could not put it down. I found it on my spring Scholastic Book Fair and was captivated from the first chapter. I think it was well crafted with amazing characters. I was happy to see a strong female protagonist who did not give up. What an inspiring book! I would like to know what age level you had in mind when writing this one?

Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch Thank you for the lovely feedback on Making Bombs. It was a very difficult novel to write. Took me to some very dark places in my mind. As to the intended age level -- dare I admit that I don't really think of that as I'm writing? I've had 20+ books published and they've been marketed for all grade ranges and even adult. I write the story that the character inspires me to. Lida's voice took me over and flowed through me. Some readers have said that she seems mature for her age but war does that to you.

From the emails and messages I get, my readers for this book range from grade 3 to adult.
