How did you get the idea to write 'The Death of Death'? (by the way it was amazing)

K.N. Parker My goodness, I didn't notice this question until now. Apologies all around.

It was one of those stories that came to me as I was trying to fall asleep. I had to get up and put it down on paper, er, screen right away. The three characters she meets on the log I'd had in my head for years before, but I had never used them, so I suppose the story grew around them. I wanted to use them in a different story, but I just repurposed them for this one.
