Bibli-ophelia Clerico asked Jacqueline Winspear:

Would you ever look into having Maisie Dobbs made into a PBS Masterpiece drama series? Or it's own a la Miss Fisher by Kerry Greenwood? Thank you for such wonderful stories! Patrizia

Jacqueline Winspear Whether to have a series adapted is not really up to the writer - usually a production company would approach the writer for the right to "option" the books (a bit like putting down a deposit on something). They then do the groundwork to sell to the range of international outlets that might be interested - there are a lot more fish in the sea than PBS nowadays, so there are always opportunities. Also, PBS does not produce their own series - they buy in from other companies. The series is currently optioned by a UK production company - but given the speed with which these things move, I doubt Maisie Dobbs would come to the screen before 2018 at the earliest.
