Melissa asked Ian Doescher:

I'm doing the 2017 Reading Challenge through http://www.popsugar.com/love/Reading-Challenge-2017-42561300 and I'm planning ahead. I need to fulfill reading "A book recommended by an author you love." Sooo... what is a book you have read in the last 3-5 years that you love? I would appreciate any suggestion from you really, but I put on the years perimeter to perhaps make it easier.

Ian Doescher Well, thanks for asking, Melissa. :-) In no particular order, and hopefully offering a range of interests, here are 10 I've loved in the last year:

Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
Far From the Tree by Andrew Solomon
11/22/63 by Stephen King
Wool by Hugh Howey
Creativity, Inc. by Ed Catmull
Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow
Unholy Night by Seth Grahame-Smith
Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin
The Outrun by Amy Liptrot
