I am originally from Miami, FL but with a great-grandfather from Regalbuto in Sicily. I go there on vacation a lot but I do not, unfortunately, speak Italian :(
You are lucky to read Japanese - I would love to be able to read Soseki, Tanizaki, and other great Japanese authors in the original. I speak, read, and write in English and French.
