Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

J.E.B. Spredemann My most recent series is set in Indiana, not far from where I live. Often, I would drive by an Amish farm in the area, which had a little store out front. Suddenly, one day, the store was closed off and it looked like the owners had abandoned the beautiful farm.
Every time I drove by, I couldn't get it out of my head. Then a thought came to me. I imagined a woman needing to take refuge and she turns into this abandoned farm. Each time I drove by the property, more ideas came to my mind.
When I could no longer stand it, and the characters in my head would no longer keep quiet, the Amish Country Brides series was born. There are twelve books in the series now. They include:
