we certainly can't have that!! i started this long email to you about group reads and classics and goodreads and what all, but then i got distracted (by bacon???) and still haven't sent it.

still at work. always at work. work is killing me both in workload and personal fronts. but i will try to finish it this weekend, and send. :)

and to bring it back around: my life is very unlike those characters in the big sleep. the ladies of the big sleep have furs, for one thing, and don't work in a conventional sense. :)

I read it during the last group read of this book so I'm going to bow out of this one. But I'll be reading all the posts!

I want to be realistic and honest with myself for once when it comes to the group reads. This is not going to happen for me right now. Could my vote be stricken from the poll, please?

Wait, we have to be realistic and honest with ourselves now? I can't just plan to re-read the book, fail to do so, write one facile comment based on my memory of the book, and then get distracted by other things and forget about fiction files for a month while imagining myself an active member? That's my thing! I'd hate to have to be honest with myself about it.
