And when they get to be of the age that they're reading books on their own, they can start their own social networking bookshelves, I suppose. Definitely not gonna shelve books I haven't read.

They just set their priorities - more time to read without kids!"

You know there's a way to change your vote. On this page you just click "change your vote" right underneath the poll standings and then you can re-vote.

That wouldn't have stopped me from getting a Goodreads account! I just get one anyway. But luckily, when my English teacher told me about this site, I had just turned thirteen a couple of days earlier. I had no idea Goodreads had a restriction on that, because my eleven year old sister is on Goodreads and so is this seven year old who I met on here. I had no idea! I just barely was legal!
I'm not a parent but I shelve books I read when I was a child. (At 16 you could argue that I still am! But I mean I shelve actual children's books that I read 5, 10 years ago.)

I shelve books I read as a child for leisure, but not mandatory reading and stuff that everybody was reading, like certain fairy tales.
I am a grandparent of a 6 year old who reads to me every night. Never thought about shelving those books too. Maybe I will start that now. Cool idea everyone.
I shelve the books I read as a child.

Otherwise, I use only use GR to log in my erotic!
