I voted for Fahrenheit 451, it's on my list of books-to-read and I'd like to get to it sooner rather than later. I'd also like to read Lord of the Flies. Huckleberry Finn (Currently reading Tom Sawyer) or Red Badge of Courage would be fine too.

I have already, and actually quite recently read The Great Gatsby.

I voted for Great Gatsby strategically in an effort to block F451, I've read GG several times and its an exquisite novel. I also wanted Emma or Tess because I'm trying to read my way through Austen and Hardy (never happen).

I'm having a difficult time navigating this website so I don't post much. But somehow I've started reading Age of Innocence (and thought it was the April read I voted for). Also, I seemed to have missed Middlemarch poll and see it's on for July. Yea! It's a generational thing--internet.

Eileen, it is not you! Age of Innocence and Middlemarch were part of the author's challenge. So they got picked to help with that. Thanks for voting and the website gets easier to navigate with time. I still figure out things on here, so enjoy and happy reading!

Oh, I voted for I Capture the Castle--haven't read it in years--discovered it in college--a friend recommended it and it became my go-to book whenever I felt down or time crazy or just stressed. I always wanted to sit on the kitchen counter with my feet in the sink. Once upon a time I could have gotten up there but those days are gone forever--nevertheless I think I'll dig out my copy no matter what, for old times sake! LOL

Generally, there are only two books that we have as reads for each month.
We have a general group read which is nominated and voted on every month by the whole group. Then we also have a children's classic group read, which Kerri usually picks or takes care of.
Then, every once in awhile, if someone wants to read a book that is not in the general read, they can start or participate in a buddy read. Those are usually dependent upon the people that are participating in the read. Are you confused yet? Ha!
