I agree and also voted for Bob. However, I think that the glimpse in Dead Beat was just a peak of Bob's former self. That Bob seemed like he could be a totally awesome villain.
Who knows, the Dresden Files are only halfway done, so I am crossing my fingers for an expanded "Evil Bob" plot.

That was actually a difficult poll - which really speaks to Butcher's writing ability. Even the supporting characters are well fleshed out and interesting. My choice came to either Murphy or Thomas - I ended up picking Thomas.
I think the only two I wouldn't have picked from that list was Bob and Molly. I'm just not into those two characters as much as the others.
Thomas is very cool. The conflict between his demon and his more human side makes for interesting reading, and I'm very curious to see what will happen given his latest traumatic encounter with the panther spirit shape shifter in the last book.
That's one of the reasons I picked him - he's such an interesting case as a vampire. He's supposed to be this monster, but he doesn't come across that way at all. Not to mention he's pretty darn funny with that ego of his. =]I'm hoping we'll get to see more of his struggle in future books.
I love them all, but Bob has to get my vote on this one. I mean, he's Bob. Every line that comes out of his skull is gold.

I also loved the bit in _Dead Beat_ where Bob falls into the hands of an evil necromancer and changes character *completely*. Interesting stuff.
