Yeah, Sharon I'd redo this poll. I'm not wont to stand up for Bella, but the original MOTM post says
"At the end of each month, I will be awarding a "Member of the Month" title to one person in the group! For the next month after, this member will have the honor of bearing the "member of the month" title as a moderator and have their BotM nominations, seconds, and final vote tripled."

Oh, Bella! I completely forgot!🤦🏽♀️ I will go look at my tallies and see if it would have made a difference. If it would have, I will redo it.

Ok, so surprisingly enough, with your votes being tripled, it did not change the results. However, I had not done my seconds since my seconds wouldn't have made a difference to the original poll. With your votes tripled, my seconds suddenly meant something, so I used them, which meant two of your books were added to the poll.
It's a lot of choices, and we don't normally do that many, but only 2 books had more tallies than the rest, and the rest were all tied.🤷♀️
Sorry I forgot, Bella! Glad you said something before it went live. Whew!

Just clarifying how we are tripling the MotM's votes--While the first post says that nominations, seconds, and final votes get tripled, when we reinstated this last month, the mods, including Lily, decided not to triple the final vote--only the nominations/seconds.

Oh wow, that's great. Maybe choosing what to vote for will be easier now lol.
Wow that’s a lot of choices; it makes it hard to narrow down!!
I’m literally fine with reading any of them besides the way of kings; it’s such a big commitment and I wanna finish the mistborn trilogy before I start the storm light archive

It is a lot of choices!😬 Did you see why?
Wok IS a big commitment! Last time we did a tome, Lily made it for 2 months. If it gets picked, we can see if folks want to do that.

I won't be able to read Guild of Thieves either.
As for Tress of the Emerald Sea, can it be read without having read the previous books in the series?

I thought that was a standalone.... Anyone??

I’ve been wanting to read Brandon Sanderson. Is Way of Kings a good place to start?

I'm afraid. I kind of wish I knew what it was.

Oh cool, as long as it isn't too long, I'll prob join if it wins then.
I won't be joining for Guild of Thieves, prob not for Way of Kings, and I'm not sure about Wishtress, since it would be a reread for me. I guess we'll see.

Same. XD Personally wishing for Way of Kings here.

I’ve talked to a bunch of people and everyone pretty much recommends starting with the mistborn trilogy first

I think it was Jesse who told me that the Stormlight books are Sanderson's best, but that he recommends the Mistborn trilogy first because they are great without being tomes.

If WoK gets picked, we can discuss doing it for July as well, so everyone will have 2 months to read it.

Also, I've never read anything by Brandon Sanderson, so that's why I'm a little hesitant about Tress of the Emerald Sea.

Yeah, that #28 worried me lol.

What if it's 1,000+ pages, or you have to buy it to read it? lol

It's an anonymous poll, but people frequently share their votes in the comments. Completely up to you!

I like Sanderson a lot, but I am not a super fan. I have been wanting to read Tress for a while....

I might!! It's so hard to decide.
But when I do the BotM, I usually wait to vote until I see where the poll is at the end. That way, if I need to break a tie, I can. I have a few days to think about it.😊

Well, sort of. There was at least one time where I voted for a book I didn't really want just so we didn't go into a tie. My vote anywhere else wouldn't have changed anything, and we needed the tie broken, so....🤷♀️
