Gillian Bronte Adams is a sword-wielding, horse-riding, wander-loving fantasy author, rarely found without a coffee in hand and rumored to pack books before clothes when she hits the road. Working in youth ministry left her with a passion for journeying alongside children and teens. (It also enhanced her love of coffee.) Now, she writes novels that follow outcast characters down broken roads, through epic battles, and onward to adventure. And at the end of a long day of typing, she can be found saddling her wild thing and riding off into the sunset, seeking adventures of her own (and more coffee).

She loves to connect with readers and fellow wanderers online through her website, Facebook page, and Instagram.

It's natural that your beliefs will seep into the story, but it's less likely to come across as preachy when they provide supporting themes rather than major plot points.(less)

Occasionally there are aspects of a character that remind me of someone or of a certain situation or circumstance someone I know has gone through, but that's generally as far as it goes.

When I’m brainstorming, characters hop into my head in a variety of stages of composition. Some arrive almost fully formed complete with a name, personality, mode of speech, etc. Others I can see but not hear. And still others reveal their thoughts and emotions while I still don’t know who they are, what they look like, or even what they are called. With such characters, I have to dig deep to uncover their true selves … and often, they end up being the best ones of all!(less)

Another awesome book from Mary Weber. Loved Sofi and her relationship with her brother Shilo. Fascinated by Miguel, the gaming technology, and the secrets surrounding the Delonese. Desperately ready for the next book in the series!

The premise of this book fascinated me. I read a decent bit of post-apocalyptic fiction, but the idea of living with a death sentence already hanging over your head in a sickness that could strike at any moment and claims most adults before they hit ...more
