Shella I can’t see The One and Only Ruby or The Eyes and the Impossible even close to earning Newbery recognition. I know Ruby is on lists to read if you liked the other two books- but it would be a shame to have it for our book this month (maybe just me and I’m not seeing something great- I loved the other two). I’ve heard a lot of buzz about the Probability of Everything. It was only publish at the end of June- I’m on a four week wait for an ebook from my library for it.

Kate Can you check the Newbery eligibility for The Probability of Everything? It seems that Sarah Everett currently lives in Canada.

Unfortunately, The Probability of Everything is ineligible. One of the best reads of 2023, but Sarah Everett is a Canadian citizen.

Too bad. It was a great book. Definitely read it, Newbery or not.
