Hard choices, but so good, and while I was deciding between the three, I accidently clicked the wrong one! (one of two I didn't actually want to read!) *eye roll* I've done this before. You'd think I'd learn!!

Already read Mexican gothic, but I absolutely loved it and would happily read again!

Wow. So many great choices! Naturally, I did the cowardly thing--closed my eyes and pointed. However the votes come out, I'm so looking forward to reading and sharing spooky thoughts with my Supernatural Group buddies!

I'm happy that my nomination is ahead in the polls (for now anyway) but I would be happy to read at least four of the books in the poll. At least Woman in Black is the shortest one...I have a lot of group reads to catch up on!

RJ, your comment prompted me, just now, to check out the book description for The Woman in Black. Until then, I honestly didn't know that it's pretty short (138 pages!). That's an unexpected plus for me as well; I don't have other group reads in October, but I'm hoping to work in another book that month.

Hmmm...I didn't remember that Woman in Black was so short. That may be a bonus for some readers.

The 1986 first U.S. edition, which I got today by interlibrary loan, actually has 160 pages; I'm guessing that the 2001 reprint, which is Goodreads' default edition, gets it down to 138 by using smaller type. But at even 160 pages, it should be a relatively quick read!
