I do want to read The House Across the Lake, so I voted for it. But I'm 23rd in line at the library, so I really don't know if I will get it in time

KateblueDo you have a state-wide system? Like, if in your library it's not available, there is a link to the entire state? We do where I am. Or county-wide, if not state.

You’re lucky- my library doesn’t even have it at all. On Libby or otherwise.
Mine is the biggest library system in the state and it is county-wide (actually, the city is pretty much county-wide). I will look around though. I have heard there are some places on line where you can get library ebooks if you have a legit card somewhere.

My library says it will be at least 6 months before I get the one copy they ordered. The bright side? Often they will add more copies and/or shorten rental time to a week to speed up such a long queue
