Non-Fiction S&S i.e. biographies of REH like Flame and Crimson: A History of Sword-and-Sorcery, Robert E. Howard: A Literary Biography, or Renegades and Rogues: The Life and Legacy of Robert E. Howard, or any of the pen pal letters between REH and other others.
Fresh Meat from RBFScott Oden Presents The Lost Empire of Sol: A Shared World Anthology of Sword & Planet Tales. Tons of great authors in this one.
Sorcery Against Caesar: The Complete Simon of Gitta Short Stories, Richard L. Tierney's Simon of Gitta is accessible now. Up for weird adventure, anyone?

Seth, just want to clarify the Conan Pastiche vote; this will include other REW pastiche works like Cormac Mac Art, Bran Mak Morn and Red Sonja? These three encompass some 13 books themselves...

Ah, we can make it REH-character pastiche!

I'd like to discuss the Simon of Gitta stories - Have an earlier anthology "The Scroll of Thoth" from Chaosium's Mythos fiction line - Loved especially "The Blade of the Slayer" where he had a crossover with Wagner's "Kane" character....
For the nonfiction option, here's another possibility: Critical Insights: Pulp Fiction of the '20s and '30s. It's not entirely S&S, but is a collection of essays focusing on particular authors and their work: Robert E. Howard, Clark Ashton Smith, H.P. Lovecraft, Robert Bloch, C.L. Moore, Henry Kuttner, August Derleth, Frank Belknap Long, and Seabury Quinn.
Well I already voted for Sorcery against Caesar - Tierney's largely Copybook self-published 70s Sw&SC based on a gnostic/early heretical figure. Note also one of the stories has a crossover with Karl Wagner's "Kane"...! (Blade of the Slayer)

Ben, nice tip on the cross-over.
All....
If we have 3-4 close ties, perhaps we just make 4 folders-Discussions?

Thanks to publishers like DMR, Pulp Hero Press, and Rogue Blades (among others) we have plenty of contemporary works/authors to read/discuss. So little time....such huge TBR piles!
