Could some of you comment about books that you have already read on this list? It seems we keep selecting titles and we have a lot of readers saying- it was good but not Newbery. I’d love to hear from those of you that have actually read the book and get your opinion before I vote- thanks in advance.

I've read and reviewed Unspeakable. It's very good and very timely as it's coming up to a century since the events https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I've read several on this list: Amari and the Night Brothers, Red, White, and Whole and Just Like That. I found Amari to be pretty standard fantasy fare, good but not award-level good. I liked Just Like That a lot, but there were too many contrivances in the plot for me to get behind it for Newbery. Red, White, and Whole was stellar and is absolutely worthy of award consideration.
