Ooooh, that is definitely a plus, to have one of the translators here who is willing to answer questions. Thank you so much for your offer David. I suspect that will encourage voting for this particular book and that's okay!

I own Max Havelaar in Indonesian, and it has been occupying my TBR shelves for the longest time. I must get this NYRB edition; I'm curious :)
