Feel free to discount my vote for Max Havelaar, since I'm one of the translators and not a regular member of the book club. On the other hand, I'd be happy to discuss any questions you have about the translation, so maybe that's a plus... All the best, David

I must get this NYRB edition; I'm curious :)
