Another, Yes, to Southern Gothic, although Other Voices, Other Rooms was a disappointment. It begins so auspiciously eerily and foreboding, worrisome for the boy, but the remainder hovers rather than rollercoastering.
For fans of Southern Gothic, The Beguiled from 1971 starring Clint Eastwood is riveting. I'm hardly an Eastwood fan, except for this movie; he is captivating, as is the entire story. Don't read reviews. Terrible spoiler.
