Thanks J. Sebastian for the heads up!
Rosemarie did a great job picking out the list for this Poll. I have seen all the movies but have not read one of the LOTR series.
If you know me, its not the first time I have added a second read out of the losers! 😉

OMG same! Except I have read the Hobbit :p

HOWEVER :) If one could get interested in fantasy, what book out of any books (not just listed here) should I start with; to introduce the fantasy genra to myself?

The Hobbit is the beginning, and the best introduction to the Fantasy Genre.
Ironically, i have seen the cover of The Hobbit animated movie (from the 80's, I think) on imdb.com. While I have never read any of the books, the movie looks and sounds very familiar. I think I saw it, once upon a time. I believe I enjoyed it, so that's a good sign.

I am not really into the genre Fantasy, not even very fond of the movie trilogy The Lord of the Rings.
Let's hope for it to be a good introduction to the world of fantasy for me too.

Rachana, The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle (movie adaptation) was my first introduction to fantasy. I read the book last year, and it it even more amazing than the movie. If you’re curious about trying fantasy, I would suggest that one as well.

Thank you Samantha for the suggestion of title The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. Loved the fact that you liked it very much. I am new to the world of reading and appreciate every good suggestion about choice of books.

Fantasy is not a genre I read much, but, I sure enjoyed reading J R R Tolkien. He is a great author! I highly recommend his books.
